<p>We've been providing innovative solutions for the last 160 years. Over our long history, we've created and manufactured components for light bulbs, television tubes and cookware. We’ve developed ceramic substrates that help reduce air pollution; optical fiber and connectivity solutions that form the backbone of telecommunication networks; active-matrix liquid crystal display glass substrates that bring brilliant images to life; and cover glass that makes possible the world of touch screens.  Our products change the way people live and work around the world.</p> <p>Corning’s Optical Communications business, offering optical fibre, cable and connectivity solutions, has played a key role in India’s growing telecommunications market. From supporting India’s first optical fibre deployments in the 1980s, to currently taking enterprise network solutions to data centres, Corning continues to play a strong role in connecting India’s people. In 2012, with its investment of over $100 million, Corning established a state-of-art optical fibre manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune which further confirms Corning’s commitment to India’s connected future. As the Indian Government invests in forward-looking initiatives like Smart Cities and BharatNet, Corning will continue to innovate and provide future-proof solutions in India’s optical communications space.</p>
