Supervise day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities of CNC machines and production equipment.Attend and troubleshoot machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.Plan and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities as per the defined schedule.Carry out inspection, maintenance, replacement, and alignment of mechanical components.Troubleshoot and maintain spindles, bearings, gearboxes, ball screws, guideways, chucks, couplings, lubrication systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Identify recurring machine problems and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement permanent corrective actions.Monitor machine condition and identify potential failures through preventive and predictive maintenance practices.Coordinate with the Production Department for breakdown priorities, machine availability, and maintenance planning.Allocate daily jobs to maintenance technicians and monitor their work for timely completion.Ensure proper execution and documentation of preventive maintenance checklists.Maintain records of machine breakdowns, PM activities, spare consumption, repair history, and downtime.Identify critical spare parts and coordinate with stores/purchase teams to ensure availability.Monitor and control machine downtime and work towards improving MTBF and MTTR.Support installation, commissioning, shifting, and modification of CNC machines and related equipment.Ensure proper machine alignment, leveling, lubrication, and mechanical condition of machines.Coordinate with machine manufacturers / external service providers whenever required.Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and company standards.Guide, train, and develop maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices.Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S within the maintenance area.Prepare daily/weekly maintenance reports and provide updates to the Maintenance Manager.

Inspect incoming, in-process and final products as per drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Gauges and other measuring instruments.

Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T and inspection standards.

Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.

Identify and report defects, deviations and non-conformities.

Ensure proper segregation and identification of OK / Rejected / Rework components.

Coordinate with Production and Quality Engineers for resolution of quality issues.

Conduct first-piece, patrol and final inspection as required.

Follow 5S, safety and quality procedures.

Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

Maintain measuring instruments and ensure proper calibration status.

Follow company quality procedures and customer-specific requirements.
