Job Description
Responsibilities
Design and develop BIW fixtures, jigs, and tooling for automotive body shop applications.
Create and modify 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5 and UG NX.
Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering standards in fixture design.
Develop fixture concepts based on part geometry, assembly requirements, and manufacturing processes.
Prepare detailed fixture layouts, component drawings, and BOMs.
Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams for design feasibility and fixture validation.
Review and modify designs based on production feedback and engineering changes.
Ensure designs meet quality, safety, functionality, and manufacturability requirements.
