Roles and Responsibilities

• Timely delivery of material/services to the project & coordination with the project team for the procurement related issues
• Once they receive the best suitable quotation then they can finalize the order by comparing the pre-requisites.
• Negotiation, Vendor Development and Vendors Evaluation for Engineering Materials.
• Raising PO in favor of selected Supplier.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Steel Market, Vendors, Material. 3) Commercial Terms and Conditions.
• Vendor Billing and Client Invoice.
• Coordinating with factory for purchase requirements and stock quantity-Inspecting material before dispatch to factory-Managing logistics of supplies-Vendor Development-Sourcing materials from vendors (old and new)-Negotiating commercial terms of offering-Preparing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of material and clearing vendors bills.

Role & responsibilities

• Analyzing and interpreting customer specifications or requirements from tender documents and to read and understand P&IDs
• Proposing competitive cost-effective technical solutions, conveying alternative solutions when customer requirements cannot be met
• Managing proposals in timely, technically and commercially accurate manner also supporting and participating actively in contract negotiations
• Meeting or exceeding order volume goal and to manage pricing authority within guidelines established by the business unit
• Working on all aspects of bid preparation, project negotiation, pricing strategies, tactical planning, technical support, value add engineering, risk analysis
• Interfacing with all levels of product line management/vendors, negotiating of terms and conditions. Providing PAN India support
• Working on order closing activities. Developing commercial relations with existing and potential customers and knowledge of their business and organization
• Reporting business intelligence, orders won and lost, competitive activity, new product requirements and track negotiations in a timely and efficient manner

Preferred candidate profile

• BE or B.Tech  engineering from a reputed university
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in backend and frontend sales from upstream (oil and gas) customers and EPCs, customer management
• Experience in DCS / ESD (Emergency Shutdown) / F&G (Fire & Gas), SCADA, MS Project, MS Visio and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and address key issues with maximum integrity and professionalism

You shall achieve this, by developing your competence and by reorienting your energy towards Product Innovation, technology platforms maintaining On-time Delivery First Time Right Approach.

As a Design / Sr. Design Engineer, you need to plan project execution with the objective of delivering projects within the estimated time and quality standards within the limits of GECIAs structure, processes, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Focus

• Understand the project requirements and work content based on the inputs received.
• Ensure GECIA s contribution to improve Time to Market.
• Communicate progress and deliverable updates to the stakeholders, raise red flags and highlight any concerns to all stakeholders. Demonstrate GECIA s contribution to custom design Projects.
• Monitor deliverables with adherence to SOPs, resolve technical issues raised.
• Communicate with various other competences like Electrical Design, Calculation team, Technical Literature team, Project Engineering, Vendors etc.
• Ensure that designs are reviewed by design reviewer prior releasing the same.
• Take an active part in the Engineering team to support the release of all Engineering deliverables linked to the project.

To succeed, you will need

Experience Knowledge Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Production) with a minimum of 3-8 years of Experience
• Sound Knowledge about Compressors, blowers, dryers, filters, heat exchangers
• Knowledge of International standards like ASME and CE, API
• Knowledge about Design of Skid packages for compressor would be an added advantage.
• Will be able to work on most complex OEM projects.
• Experience in project planning, estimating on time delivery.
• Knowledge of Sheet metal, Piping design, Flange selection, heavy fabrication.
• Experience in Motor support design, Alignment/Fitment checks
• Experience in 3D layout creation, detailed Engineering drawing creation
• Experience of doing design calculations at component level.
• Should have basic understanding of P ID, Valves, Pressure Temperature Gauges
• Experience of working on CAD software like Inventor PLM system Enovia.
• Experience on ERP (BPCS) system, Item creation BOM preparation.
