Job Description

• Understanding of activity-based costing principles in manufacturing, and automotive manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, forging, stamping, injection molding, welding, metal forming, etc.   
• Continue to develop new cost models for a new product.   
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment including purchasing, engineering, finance, and manufacturing.   
• Ability to explain gaps between should cost and supplier pricing based on factual data.   
• High level of independent judgment, initiative, creativity, and managing multiple projects.   
• Design to cost initiative with engineering to innovate new lower-cost designs both internally and at our supply base.   
• Continue developing Apriori for cost models for commodities like stamping and plastic.   
• Prepare a manufacturing process plan & optimize the process.   
• Drive improvement in cost structure by questioning the status quo by better understanding the manufacturing process, cycle time, true productivity gains, alternate materials, and designs.   
• Implemented piece cost supplier workshop and supplier audit to reduce the overall cost.   
• Zero Base Costing
