Position summary
The QC Inspector will handle incoming inspection, dimensional measurement, engineering drawing review and mechanical inspection activities, including inspection of imported cutting inserts and component-related items. The role suits candidates with 1-2 years of experience from aerospace, oil & gas or precision manufacturing backgrounds.
 
Key responsibilities
·         Perform incoming inspection of materials, bought-out parts and imported cutting inserts.
·         Conduct dimensional and visual inspection using standard measuring instruments.
·         Read engineering drawings and verify tolerances, dimensions and specifications.
·         Support first-off, in-process and final inspection where required.
·         Maintain inspection records in ERP, QMS or approved documentation formats.
·         Coordinate with stores, purchase, production and quality teams on non-conforming items.
·         Ensure traceability, segregation and quality compliance.

Compensation and work conditions
·         Salary: ₹18,000 - ₹50,000 per month, based on experience and hands-on capability.
·         Shift: 8 hours.
·         Overtime: Paid OT.
·         Accommodation: Bachelor accommodation available with ₹500 per month deduction.

Key Responsibilities:

Drawing & Setup Verification: Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T symbols, and verify tool offsets and job setups before production runs.
Quality Oversight: Work closely with the QC team to minimize rework/rejections, conduct basic root-cause analysis, and enforce zero-defect standards.
Tooling & Maintenance: Monitor cutting tool consumption, insert wear, and coordinate with the maintenance team for regular preventive maintenance schedules.
Candidate Profile:
Education: Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 3+ years of core supervisory/line-lead experience in a busy Machine Shop.
Technical Expertise:
Strong technical understanding of CNC, VMC, and HMC operations and tooling.
Proficient with precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauges, Height Gauges).
Clear understanding of machining operations for castings, forgings, and heavy fabricated components.
