Job Description:

• Conceptual BIW fixture design
• Spot welding fixtures design, the study of spot plan, Geo / Re-spot, Gun cloud
• Gripper's design such as process gripper, handling grippers (EGT / Fabricated)
• MIG welding fixtures design manual / robotic, Swing units, dump units, slide units design
• Checking fixtures & inspection fixtures concept design (control plan, inspection plan)
• 3D modeling & 2D detailing in CATIA V5 as well as UGNX (DAIMLER package is added
• advantage)
• Good BIW process knowledge such as cycle time, tact time, manual weld line, robotic weld time, gun feasibility, gun selection
• Manufacturing processes are proven experience in spot welding, riveting, clinching, nailing, MIG welding, and brazing.
• Manipulators design for the metal finish line, hemming fixtures design, piano clamping, gantry design

Proficient in 3D Part Design, Surfacing, Assembly Design, and 2D drafting in Catia / NX(Surfacing is a must). Ability to position and manipulate models, as well as cut sections, dimension, and conceptualize designs. Understanding of Styling surface and dividing as per component level. Knowledge of Fasteners, Dowels, and locating elements. Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Drawings & GD&T. Understanding of plastic part manufacturing. Good analytical and communication skills. Good knowledge of plastic part design & tooling feasibility with tool direction definition, parting line & Slider/Lifter construction. Target setting for parts strength, Gap-flush, GD&T.

Sound knowledge of Catia v5 surfacing with best cad methodology. Experience in BIW Design & Development at Automobile ( Closure/ Upper Body/ Lower Body ) Sound knowledge of engineering and system documents like DFMEA, DVP, DFM, etc. Good technical knowledge of automotive Sheet metal parts, manufacturing, and assembly - processes. Should be able to do tolerance stack up & GD&T added advantage. Basic understanding of Design/ Design changes on Tailgate & Hood parts (Inner /Outer panel, Reinforcement, Hinges, etc.) for the Automotive Sector.

Role & Responsibilities Design and develop automotive plastic components using CATIA V5 or NX. Create 3D models, surfacing, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings, perform GD&T, ensure tooling feasibility, define parting lines and tool directions, and support product development while meeting quality and performance requirements. Experience & Qualification Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. 4–8 years of experience in Automotive Plastic Product Design. Proficiency in CATIA V5 or NX, surfacing, plastic part design, GD&T, tooling feasibility, manufacturing drawings, and automotive design standards.

We have an urgent requirement for Design Engineers - Interior Trims Good in CATIA V5 and Surfacing with the best CAD methodology. Good knowledge of plastic part design and development. Tooling feasibility with tool direction definition, parting line & Slider/ Lifter construction. Target setting for parts strength, Gap-flush, GD&T. Key skills- Instrumental panel, Door panel, Console, etc.

• Able to read customer drawings, understand specifications mentioned within the drawings. Good at GD & T • Must have experience on software like Catia-V5/Uni graphics/solid Edge (3D & 2D Drafting) & AutoCad • Strong tool design (Dies) knowledge able to design independent • Cutting & non-cutting tools (Dies) using software like Catia-V5. Uni graphics or solid Edge • Able to do drafting & detailing on Auto-cad software & release drawings to tool-room for manufacturing • Knowledge of dies material (std & bought out items), dies standard items & their MAKE (MISUMI, FIBRO, PUNCH INDIA etc) • Experience of tool tryout would be an advantage • Tool refurbishment experience, ECN implementation by modifying tools • Knowledge of Heat treatment processes, Die block coating (PVD)

3-5 Years of good design experience in Automotive Seating - Foam Design. Hands-on experience in surfacing/solid modeling/Drawing creation in Catia V5 /NX software. Be responsible for the design and development of Seat Foam, Basics of Foam Design guidelines etc. Check assembly and packaging constrains in respect of adjustment possibilities Check Foam process constrains (tool access, assembly steps) based on guidelines Create assembly models and skeleton using Catia V5/NX Good knowledge of CAD Methodology and best practices for Foam Design, Assembly Design, Drafting. Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts. Experience in automotive product development and release for production cycle comfort, foam and trim. Good Knowledge of Seating Foam Pad tooling and manufacturing process. Good Knowledge of Trim cover attachment requirement and Trim cover and part release process. Good knowledge of engineering release process Prototype/DV/PV/ release.
